Hadith 4974

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بن عثمان ، حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ نَافِعٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الْقَزَعِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade «قزع». The meaning of «قزع» is that when shaving a child's hair, some hair is cut and some is left.
