Hadith 4962

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنِي مَنْ سَمِعَ ابْنَ سُرَاقَةَ يَذْكُرُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " مَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي قَبْلَ الصَّلاَةِ وَلَا بَعْدَهَا فِي السَّفَرِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform any prayers (meaning Sunnah prayers) before or after the obligatory prayers while on a journey.
