Hadith 4957

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُعَاوِيَةَ الْفَزَارِيُّ ، أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ جَرِيرٍ ، عَنْ قَزَعَةَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ ، فَقَالَ : تَعَالَ حَتَّى أُوَدِّعَكَ كَمَا وَدَّعَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَرْسَلَنِي فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ ، فَأَخَذَ بِيَدِي ، فَقَالَ : " أَسْتَوْدِعُ اللَّهَ دِينَكَ وَأَمَانَتَكَ وَخَوَاتِيمَ عَمَلِكَ " .
Qaza'ah (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) sent me on an errand and said, "Come close so that I may bid you farewell in the same manner as the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) bid me farewell when he sent me on an errand." Then he took my hand and said, "I entrust your religion, your trustworthiness, and the outcome of your deeds to Allah."
