Hadith 4909

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ خَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً ، أَوْ أَكْثَرَ مِنْ عِشْرِينَ مَرَّةً ، قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ : وَأَنَا أَشُكُّ " يَقْرَأُ فِي رَكْعَتَيْ الْفَجْرِ : قُلْ يَا أَيُّهَا الْكَافِرُونَ ، وَ قُلْ هُوَ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) must have recited Surah Al-Kafiroon and Surah Al-Ikhlas dozens of times in the Sunnah prayers before Fajr.
