Hadith 4893

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَهُ الْمَغْرِبَ ثَلَاثًا ، وَالْعِشَاءَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ بِإِقَامَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ مَالِكُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْحَارِثِيُّ : مَا هَذِهِ الصَّلَاةُ يَا أَبَا عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ؟ قَالَ : صَلَّيْتُهَا مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي هَذَا الْمَكَانِ بِإِقَامَةٍ وَاحِدَةٍ " .
Abdullah bin Malik (may Allah have mercy on him) says that I performed three rak'ahs of Maghrib and two rak'ahs of Isha with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) at Muzdalifah with a single iqamah. Upon this, Malik bin Khalid asked: O Abu Abdur Rahman! What kind of prayer is this? He replied: I have performed these prayers at this place with a single iqamah with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
