Hadith 4883

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَشْتَرِي الذَّهَبَ بِالْفِضَّةِ ؟ فَقَالَ : " إِذَا أَخَذْتَ وَاحِدًا مِنْهُمَا ، فَلَا يُفَارِقْكَ صَاحِبُكَ وَبَيْنَكَ وَبَيْنَهُ لَبْسٌ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Can I buy gold in exchange for silver?" The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whenever you take either of these two things, do not separate from your companion until there is not even the slightest doubt between you and him."
