Busr bin Saeed says that Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) came and sat near the benches, asked for water for ablution, and washed all his limbs three times each. Then he said to some of the companions (may Allah be pleased with them) who were present there: "Is it like this?" They confirmed it.
