Hadith 4871

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا يَحْيَى ، يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَبَّانَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا أَخْبَرَهُ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ يَحْيَى ، أَنَّهُ كَانَ مَع عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، وَأَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ لَهُ : فِي الْفِتْنَةِ لَا تَرَوْنَ الْقَتْلَ شَيْئًا ؟ ! وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلثَّلاَثَةَ : " لَا يَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا " .
Yahya, may Allah have mercy on him, says that once he was with Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, and Sayyiduna Ibn Umar, may Allah be pleased with them both, was instructing him about tribulation, saying: "You people do not consider killing someone to be of any significance, whereas the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, instructed regarding three people that two of them should not converse in whispers excluding their companion."
