(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ حَاطِبٍ أَنَّهُ حَدَّثَهُمْ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : وَقَفَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى الْقَلِيبِ يَوْمَ بَدْرٍ ، فَقَالَ : " يَا فُلَانُ يَا فُلَانُ ، هَلْ وَجَدْتُمْ مَا وَعَدَكُمْ رَبُّكُمْ حَقًّا ؟ أَمَا وَاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ الْآنَ لَيَسْمَعُونَ كَلَامِي " ، قَالَ يَحْيَى : فَقَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : غَفَرَ اللَّهُ لِأَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، إِنَّهُ وَهِلَ ، إِنَّمَا قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَاللَّهِ إِنَّهُمْ لَيَعْلَمُونَ الْآنَ أَنَّ الَّذِي كُنْتُ أَقُولُ لَهُمْ حَقُّ ، وَإِنَّ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى يَقُولُ : إِنَّكَ لا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَى سورة النمل آية 80 وَمَا أَنْتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ سورة فاطر آية 22 .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) came and stood by the well on the day of the Battle of Badr, in which the bodies of the chiefs of Quraysh were thrown, and he began to call them by name, saying: "Did you find the promise of your Lord to be true?" By Allah! These people are hearing what I am saying. Yahya says that when Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her) learned of this hadith, she said: "May Allah forgive Abu Abdur Rahman, he has become confused. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: 'Now it has been established that what I used to say to them was true,' because Allah the Exalted says «إِنَّكَ لَا تُسْمِعُ الْمَوْتَ» 'You cannot make the dead hear,' and also «إِوَمَا أَنْتَ بِمُسْمِعٍ مَنْ فِي الْقُبُورِ» 'You cannot make those in the graves hear.'"
