(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ ، أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " دَفَعَ خَيْبَرَ إِلَى أَهْلِهَا بِالشَّطْرِ ، فَلَمْ تَزَلْ مَعَهُمْ حَيَاةَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كُلَّهَا ، وَحَيَاةَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَحَيَاةَ عُمَرَ ، حَتَّى بَعَثَنِي عُمَرُ لِأُقَاسِمَهُمْ ، فَسَحَرُونِي ، فَتَكَوَّعَتْ يَدِي ، فَانْتَزَعَهَا عُمَرُ مِنْهُمْ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) allowed the people of Khaybar to remain in their land in exchange for half of the produce, and this arrangement continued throughout the entire blessed life of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and it remained the same during the life of Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and it also remained the same during the life of Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him). On one occasion, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) sent me to Khaybar so that I could distribute their shares, so the Jews of that place performed magic on me and the joint of the bone in my hand became dislocated. After that, Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) took Khaybar away from them.
