Hadith 4851

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ ، عَنْ وَبَرَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : " أَمَرَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِقَتْلِ الذِّئْبِ لِلْمُحْرِمِ ، يَعْنِي ، وَالْفَأْرَةَ ، وَالْغُرَابَ وَالْحِدَأَ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : فَالْحَيَّةُ وَالْعَقْرَبُ ؟ فَقَالَ : قَدْ كَانَ يُقَالُ ذَاكَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the killing of the mouse, the crow, and the wolf in the state of Ihram. Someone asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) about the snake and the scorpion; he said that it is also said regarding them.
