Hadith 4837

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ يَعْنِي التَّيْمِيَّ ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ : " أَنَهَى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ نَبِيذِ الْجَرِّ ؟ قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، " قَالَ : وَقَالَ طَاوُسٌ : وَاللَّهِ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْهُ .
Tawoos says: I asked Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), "Did the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbid nabidh (fermented drink) made in pitchers?" He replied: "Yes!" Tawoos says: "By Allah! I have heard this myself."
