Hadith 4832

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عَاصِمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا يَزَالُ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ فِي قُرَيْشٍ مَا بَقِيَ مِنَ النَّاسِ اثْنَانِ " ، قَالَ : وَحَرَّكَ أِصْبَعَيْهِ يَلْوِيهِمَا هَكَذَا .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The caliphate will remain among the Quraysh as long as two men (are united and in agreement)." And the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) gestured with his hand and moved his two fingers.
