Hadith 4827

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَر رَضِيَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى عَنْهُمَا ، أَنَّ الْعَبَّاسَ " اسْتَأْذَنَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي أَنْ يَبِيتَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ بِمَكَّةَ مِنْ أَجْلِ السِّقَايَةِ ، فَأَذِنَ لَهُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him) sought permission from the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) to stay in Makkah during the days of Mina in order to serve water to the pilgrims, so the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) granted him permission.
