Hadith 4820

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُقْبَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ سَالِمَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ يَكَادُ يَلْعَنُ الْبَيْدَاءَ ، وَيَقُولُ : " إِنَّمَا أَهَلَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنَ الْمَسْجِدِ " .
Salim (may Allah have mercy on him) says that Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to curse regarding the place of Bida’ and used to say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) assumed Ihram from the mosque itself (and not from the place of Bida’ as you have made famous).
