It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Islam is built upon five things: bearing witness that there is no deity except Allah, establishing prayer, giving zakat, performing Hajj to the House of Allah, and fasting in Ramadan." A man asked: "Jihad in the way of Allah?" Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "Jihad is a good thing, but on this occasion, the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) mentioned only these things to us."
