It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a person asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) about a matter: If a man gives his wife three divorces, and another man marries that woman, the doors are closed and the curtains are drawn, but before consummation he divorces her, will she become lawful for the first husband? He replied: No, not until the second husband tastes her honey.
