(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا
وَكِيعٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا
سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا
أَبُو جَنَابٍ ، عَنْ
أَبِيهِ ، عَنِ
ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عِنْدَ هَذِهِ السَّارِيَةِ ، وَهِيَ يَوْمَئِذٍ جِذْعُ نَخْلَةٍ ، يَعْنِي يَخْطُبُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to deliver the sermon leaning against this pillar; at that time, it was a trunk of a date-palm.
