Hadith 4707

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الَّذِينَ يَصْنَعُونَ هَذِهِ الصُّوَرَ يُعَذَّبُونَ ، وَيُقَالُ لَهُمْ : أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "These image-makers will be subjected to punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created.'"
