Hadith 4685

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِذَا كُنْتُمْ ثَلَاثَةً ، فَلَا يَنْتَجِي اثْنَانِ دُونَ صَاحِبِهِمَا " ، قَالَ : قُلْنَا : فَإِنْ كَانُوا أَرْبَعًا ؟ قَالَ : " فَلَا يَضُرُّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When you are three people, then two of you should not whisper to each other excluding the third." We asked: What if there are four? He said: "Then there is no harm."
