It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had a ring made of gold. He would turn its stone towards the palm of his hand. The people also had rings made, upon which the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) discarded it and had a ring made of silver.
