Hadith 4675

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ سُرَاقَةَ سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " لَا يُصَلِّي فِي السَّفَرِ قَبْلَهَا وَلَا بَعْدَهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he saw the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not perform any prayers (meaning Sunnah prayers) before or after the obligatory prayers while on a journey.
