Hadith 4669

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " يَقْرَأُ عَلَيْنَا السُّورَةَ ، فَيَقْرَأُ السَّجْدَةَ ، فَيَسْجُدُ ، وَنَسْجُدُ مَعَهُ ، حَتَّى مَا يَجِدُ أَحَدُنَا مَكَانًا لِمَوْضِعِ جَبْهَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that sometimes the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would recite a surah before us, and when he recited a verse of prostration in it, he would perform prostration and we would also perform prostration with him, to the extent that some of us would not find space to place our foreheads on the ground.
