Hadith 4666

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّ يَهُودِيَّيْنِ زَنَيَا ، فَأُتِيَ بِهِمَا النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَأَمَرَ بِرَجْمِهِمَا ، قَالَ : فَرَأَيْتُ الرَّجُلَ يَقِيهَا بِنَفْسِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that once a Jewish man and woman committed adultery, and the people brought them to the service of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). At the command of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), both of them were stoned. Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that he saw that Jewish man bending over the woman to shield her from the stones.
