Hadith 4660

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَبْلَ الظُّهْرِ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَبَعْدَهَا سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَبَعْدَ الْمَغْرِبِ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَبَعْدَ الْعِشَاءِ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، وَبَعْدَ الْجُمُعَةِ سَجْدَتَيْنِ ، فَأَمَّا الْجُمُعَةُ وَالْمَغْرِبُ فِي بَيْتِهِ ، قَالَ : وَأَخْبَرَتْنِي أُخْتِي حَفْصَةُ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يُصَلِّي سَجْدَتَيْنِ خَفِيفَتَيْنِ إِذَا طَلَعَ الْفَجْرُ ، قَالَ : وَكَانَتْ سَاعَةً لَا أَدْخُلُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he performed two rak‘ahs before Zuhr and two rak‘ahs after it with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and also two rak‘ahs after Maghrib and two rak‘ahs after ‘Isha. However, after Jumu‘ah and Maghrib, he used to pray at his home, and my sister Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her) informed me that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) would also perform two short rak‘ahs at the time of Fajr, but that was a time when I would not go to the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
