Hadith 4652

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، أَخْبَرَنِي نَافِعٌ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّيْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمِنًي رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، وَمَعَ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، وَمَعَ عُمَرَ ، وَمَعَ عُثْمَانَ صَدْرًا مِنْ إِمَارَتِهِ ، ثُمَّ أَتَمَّ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I performed two rak'ahs (units of prayer) with the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) at Mina, and also with Sayyiduna Abu Bakr and Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both), and in the early days of the caliphate of Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him). Later, Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him) began to perform it in full.
