Hadith 4617

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عَمِّهِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : " رَقِيتُ يَوْمًا عَلَى بَيْتِ حَفْصَةَ ، فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى حَاجَتِهِ ، مُسْتَدْبِرَ الْبَيْتِ مُسْتَقْبِلَ الشَّامِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that one day I climbed onto the roof of the house of Sayyidah Hafsah (may Allah be pleased with her), and I saw that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was relieving himself facing towards the direction of Shaam and with his back towards the Qiblah.
