(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَال : أَصَابَ عُمَرُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ ، فَأَتَى النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاسْتَأْمَرَهُ فِيهَا ، فَقَالَ : أَصَبْتُ أَرْضًا بِخَيْبَرَ ، لَمْ أُصِبْ مَالًا قَطُّ أَنْفَسَ عِنْدِي مِنْهُ ، فَمَا تَأْمُرُ بِهِ ؟ قَالَ : " إِنْ شِئْتَ حَبَسْتَ أَصْلَهَا وَتَصَدَّقْتَ بِهَا " ، قَالَ : فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ : أَنْ لَا تُبَاعَ ، وَلَا تُوهَبَ ، وَلَا تُوَرَّثَ ، قَالَ : فَتَصَدَّقَ بِهَا عُمَرُ فِي الْفُقَرَاءِ وَالْقُرْبَى وَالرِّقَابِ وَفِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى وَابْنِ السَّبِيلِ وَالضَّيْفِ ، لَا جُنَاحَ عَلَى مَنْ وَلِيَهَا أَنْ يَأْكُلَ مِنْهَا بِالْمَعْرُوفِ ، أَوْ يُطْعِمَ صَدِيقًا ، غَيْرَ مُتَأَثِّلٍ فِيهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) received a piece of land in Khaybar as his share. He went to the service of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and wanted to consult him about it. So he said: O Messenger of Allah! A piece of land from Khaybar has come to me as my share, and I have never received wealth better than this. What do you command me regarding it? The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "If you wish, keep its original property with you and give its benefits as charity." So Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) dedicated it for the poor, close relatives, slaves, warriors, travelers, and guests, and said that there is no harm for the caretaker of this land to eat from it in a good manner or to feed a friend from it, provided he does not seek to accumulate wealth from it.
