Hadith 4602

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ كَانُوا " يَبْدَؤُونَ بِالصَّلَاةِ قَبْلَ الْخُطْبَةِ فِي الْعِيدِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and the two Shaykhs (may Allah be pleased with them) used to lead the prayer before the sermon on the occasion of Eid.
