Hadith 459

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي مُعَاذُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، أَنَّ حُمْرَانَ بْنَ أَبَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ ، قَالَ : أَتَيْتُ عُثْمَانَ بْنَ عَفَّانَ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ فِي الْمَقَاعِدِ ، فَتَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَهُوَ فِي هَذَا الْمَجْلِسِ تَوَضَّأَ فَأَحْسَنَ الْوُضُوءَ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " مَنْ تَوَضَّأَ مِثْلَ وُضُوئِي هَذَا ، ثُمَّ أَتَى الْمَسْجِدَ فَرَكَعَ فِيهِ رَكْعَتَيْنِ ، غُفِرَ لَهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِهِ " ، وَقَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " وَلَا تَغْتَرُّوا " .
Humran reports that once I came to Sayyiduna Uthman (may Allah be pleased with him), he was sitting on a bench, he performed ablution excellently and said: I saw the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performing ablution in this very place in the best manner, and the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Whoever performs ablution like this of mine and comes to the mosque and offers two units of prayer, Allah Almighty will forgive all his previous sins. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also said: Do not be deceived.
