Hadith 4572

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَبِيدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّم قَالَ : " لَا تَغْلِبَنَّكُمْ الْأَعْرَابُ عَلَى اسْمِ صَلَاتِكُمْ ، أَلَا وَإِنَّهَا الْعِشَاءُ ، وَإِنَّهُمْ يُعْتِمُونَ بِالْإِبِلِ أَوْ عَنِ الْإِبِلِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that I heard the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) saying: "Let not the Bedouins overpower you regarding the name of your prayer. Remember! Its name is the 'Isha prayer. At that time, they milk their camels (and because of this, they call the 'Isha prayer 'Atamah')."
