Hadith 4567

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمَ سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ابْنَ ابْنِهِ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ وَاقِدٍ : يَا بُنَيَّ ، سَمِعْت رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " لَا يَنْظُرُ اللَّهُ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ إِلَى مَنْ جَرَّ إِزَارَهُ خُيَلَاءَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that he heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: Whoever drags his clothes on the ground out of arrogance, Allah will not look at him with mercy on the Day of Resurrection.
