Hadith 4560

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ ، سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ يَقُولُ : " نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنْ بَيْعِ الْوَلَاءِ وَعَنْ هِبَتِهِ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade selling or gifting the right of wala.
