Hadith 4555

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَقَّتَ ، وَقَالَ مَرَّةً : " مُهَلُّ أَهْلِ الْمَدِينَةِ مِنْ ذِي الْحُلَيْفَةِ ، وَأَهْلِ الشَّامِ مِنَ الْجُحْفَةِ ، وَأَهْلِ نَجْدٍ مِنْ قَرْنٍ ، قَالَ : وَذُكِرَ لِي وَلَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ : وَيُهِلُّ أَهْلُ الْيَمَنِ مِنْ يَلَمْلَمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) fixed Dhu’l-Hulayfah as the miqat for the people of Madinah, Juhfah for the people of Sham, and Qarn for the people of Najd. And I have been informed, though I did not hear it myself, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: The people of Yemen will assume ihram from Yalamlam.
