Hadith 4544

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " الشُّؤْمُ فِي ثَلَاثٍ : الْفَرَسِ ، وَالْمَرْأَةِ ، وَالدَّارِ " ، قَالَ سُفْيَانُ : إِنَّمَا نَحْفَظُهُ عَنْ سَالِمٍ ، يَعْنِي : " الشُّوْمَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Omen could have been in three things: in the horse, in the woman, and in the house."
