Hadith 4514

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ فُضَيْلٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَلْعَقُ أَصَابِعَهُ ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِنَّكَ لَا تَدْرِي فِي أَيِّ طَعَامِكَ تَكُونُ الْبَرَكَةُ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) used to lick his fingers after eating and would say that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) has said: "You do not know in which part of your food there is blessing."
