(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الْمُزَابَنَةِ ، وَالْمُزَابَنَةُ أَنْ يُبَاعَ مَا فِي رُؤُوسِ النَّخْلِ بِتَمْرٍ بِكَيْلٍ مُسَمًّى ، إِنْ زَادَ فَلِي ، وَإِنْ نَقَص فَعَلَيَّ " . (حديث مرفوع) (حديث موقوف) قَالَ ابْنُ عُمَرَ : حَدَّثَنِي زَيْدُ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " رَخَّصَ فِي بَيْعِ الْعَرَايَا بِخَرْصِهَا " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade the sale of Muzabana. Muzabana means selling dates that are still on the trees according to a fixed estimate, and saying: "If more comes out, it is mine, and if less comes out, it is still mine." Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) says that Sayyiduna Ziyad bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated this hadith to me, that the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) permitted the sale of 'Ariya with estimation.
