Hadith 4475

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : إِنَّ " المُصَوِّريُنَ يُعَذَّبُونَ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ ، وَيُقَالُ : أَحْيُوا مَا خَلَقْتُمْ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) that the Messenger (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The image-makers will be subjected to punishment on the Day of Resurrection, and it will be said to them: 'Give life to what you have created and blow soul into them.'"
