Hadith 4425

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَلِمَةً ، وَأَنَا أَقُولُ أُخْرَى : " مَنْ مَاتَ وَهُوَ يَجْعَلُ لِلَّهِ نِدًّا ، أَدْخَلَهُ اللَّهُ النَّارَ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says that there are two statements: one I heard from the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and the other I say from myself. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever dies in a state while associating partners with Allah, will enter Hell." And I say: Whoever dies in a state while not associating anyone with Allah, will enter Paradise.
