Hadith 4396

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ بَهْدَلَةَ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ : وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى ، عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى سورة النجم آية 13 - 14 ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " رَأَيْتُ جِبْرِيلَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَلَهُ سِتُّ مِائَةِ جَنَاحٍ ، يَنْتَثِرُ مِنْ رِيشِهِ التَّهَاوِيلُ الدُّرُّ وَالْيَاقُوتُ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud, may Allah be pleased with him, regarding the interpretation of the Qur'anic verse: «﴿وَلَقَدْ رَآهُ نَزْلَةً أُخْرَى o عِنْدَ سِدْرَةِ الْمُنْتَهَى﴾» [النجم : 13-14], that the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "I saw Jibreel (Gabriel), peace be upon him, in his true form near the Sidrat al-Muntaha; he had six hundred wings, from which pearls and rubies were falling."
