(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ ، حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ الْمُعْتَمِرِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنْ عَبِيدَةَ السَّلْمَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : جَاءَ حَبْرٌ إِلَى رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا مُحَمَّدُ ، أَوْ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ يَحْمِلُ السَّمَوَاتِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، وَالْأَرَضِينَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، وَالْجِبَالَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، وَالشَّجَرَ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، وَالْمَاءَ وَالثَّرَى عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، وَسَائِرَ الْخَلْقِ عَلَى إِصْبَعٍ ، يَهُزُّهُنَّ ، فَيَقُولُ : أَنَا الْمَلِكُ . قَالَ : فَضَحِكَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى بَدَتْ نَوَاجِذُهُ ، تَصْدِيقًا لِقَوْلِ الْحَبْرِ ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ : وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللَّهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ . . . سورة الزمر آية 67 إِلَى آخِرِ الْآيَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man from the People of the Book came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: O Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him)! On the Day of Resurrection, Allah Almighty will hold all creatures on one finger, all the heavens on one finger, all the earths on one finger, all the trees on one finger, and all the moist soil on one finger, and He will say: I am the True King. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) heard this and laughed so much that his blessed teeth became visible, and upon this Allah revealed this verse: «﴿وَمَا قَدَرُوا اللّٰهَ حَقَّ قَدْرِهِ وَالْأَرْضُ جَمِيعًا قَبْضَتُهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ . . . . .﴾» [الزمر : 67] "They did not appraise Allah with true appraisal as is His due. The whole earth will be in His grip on the Day of Resurrection . . . . . ."
