It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that on the night of the jinn, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line around him. A man from among the jinn would come like several date-palm trees. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me, "Do not move from your place." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) taught them the Noble Qur'an. When Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) saw the Jats, he said that they were people like them. On that occasion, the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) also asked me, "Do you have water?" I replied, "No." He said, "Do you have nabidh?" I replied, "Yes!" So the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with that.
