Hadith 4333

حَدَّثَنَا حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ فِرَاسٍ ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : رُبَّمَا حَدَّثَنَا عَنْ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " فَيَكْبُو ، وَيَتَغَيَّرُ لَوْنُهُ ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ هَكَذَا ، أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ هَذَا " .
Masruq (may Allah have mercy on him) says that once Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, and as soon as he said this, the color of his face changed and he said: He said it like this, or something close to this. (Proof of caution)
