Hadith 4323

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، وَعَفَّانُ ، قَالَا : حَدَّثَنَا هَمَّامٌ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ مُوَرِّقٍ الْعِجْلِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " صَلَاةُ الْجَمِيعِ تَفْضُلُ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ وَحْدَهُ خَمْسًا وَعِشْرِينَ صَلَاةً ، كُلُّهَا مِثْلُ صَلَاتِهِ " . قَالَ عَفَّانُ : بَلَغَنِي أَنَّ أَبَا الْعَوَّامِ وَافَقَهُ .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The superiority of prayer in congregation over prayer performed alone is twenty-five degrees, and each degree is equal to his prayer."
