(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ عَوْنٍ . ح وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، عَنْ ابْنِ عَوْنٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي مُسْلِمٌ الْبَطِينُ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ ، قَالَ : مَا أَخْطَأَنِي ، أَوْ قَلَّمَا أَخْطَأَنِي ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ خَمِيسًا قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ : عَشِيَّةَ خَمِيسٍ ، إِلَّا أَتَيْتُهُ ، قَالَ : فَمَا سَمِعْتُهُ لِشَيْءٍ قَطُّ يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، فَلَمَّا كَانَ ذَاتَ عَشِيَّةٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " فَنَكَسَ ، قَالَ : فَنَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ ، مَحْلُولٌ أَزْرَارُ قَمِيصِهِ ، قَدْ اغْرَوْرَقَتْ عَيْنَاهُ ، وَانْتَفَخَتْ أَوْدَاجُهُ ، فَقَالَ : أَوْ دُونَ ذَاكَ ، أَوْ فَوْقَ ذَاكَ ، أَوْ قَرِيبًا مِنْ ذَاكَ ، أَوْ شَبِيهًا بِذَاكَ " .
Amr bin Maymoon says that it was very rare for a Thursday to come and I did not attend the gathering of Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). In that gathering, I never heard Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said (he would not narrate hadith in that gathering). Once it happened that in that gathering, these words slipped from his mouth that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said. Upon saying this, he lowered his head. When I looked, he had stood up, the buttons of his shirt were open, his eyes were filled with tears, and his veins were swollen, and he said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said less than this, or more than this, or something close to this, or a sentence similar to this.
