Hadith 4303

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) prescribed, in the blood money for accidental killing, twenty bint makhad, twenty male ibn makhad, twenty bint labun, twenty hiqqah, and twenty jaz’ah.

Benefit: These are terms used by jurists, according to which bint makhad or ibn makhad refers to a camel that has entered its second year, bint labun refers to a she-camel that has entered its third year, hiqqah to one in its fourth year, and jaz’ah to a she-camel in its fifth year.
