Hadith 4295

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَقَدْ هَمَمْتُ أَنْ آمُرَ رَجُلًا يُصَلِّي بِالنَّاسِ ، ثُمَّ أَنْظُرَ ، فَأُحَرِّقَ عَلَى قَوْمٍ بُيُوتَهُمْ ، لَا يَشْهَدُونَ الْجُمُعَةَ " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "At one time I intended to order a man to lead the people in prayer, and then order (some men) concerning those who do not join us for Jumu'ah, that their houses be set on fire."
