Hadith 4285

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ، عَنْ أَبِي عُبَيْدَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قُلْتُ : أَيُّ الْأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " الصَّلَوَاتُ لِوَقْتِهَا ، وَبِرُّ الْوَالِدَيْنِ ، وَالْجِهَادُ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ " .
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that once I asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Which deed is most beloved to Allah?" The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) replied: "Performing prayer at its proper time, showing kindness to parents, and striving in the path of Allah."
