Hadith 4279

(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الطَّنَافِسِيُّ ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ ، عَنْ زِرِّ بْنِ حُبَيْشٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " لَا تَنْقَضِي الْأَيَّامُ ، وَلَا يَذْهَبُ الدَّهْرُ ، حَتَّى يَمْلِكَ الْعَرَبَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ بَيْتِي ، يُوَاطِئُ اسْمُهُ اسْمِي " .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "The cycle of day and night and time will not end, that is, the Hour will not be established until a man from my Ahl al-Bayt rules over the Arabs whose name will correspond to my name."
