(حديث مرفوع) حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ ، قَالَ : قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ الْحَدَّادُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُكَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ الْعَبْدِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ الْهَجَرِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَا عَالَ مَنْ اقْتَصَدَ " . قَالَ عَبْد اللَّهِ بْن أَحْمَد : إِلَى هُنَا قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَبِي ، وَمِنْ هُنَا حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي .
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: "The one who walks with moderation is never needy or destitute."
Benefit: Imam Ahmad's (may Allah have mercy on him) son, Abdullah, has stated regarding the hadiths from 4255 to 4269 that he recited these hadiths to his father, and the hadiths after these were narrated to him by his father himself.
